For 2018, the ITP-Hawaii was conducted in Chile using Chile as a working example of an end-to-end tsunami warning and mitigation system. An IOC Circular Letter inviting nominees was sent to ICG/PTWS and ICG/CARIBE-EWS Tsunami National Contacts and Tsunami Warning Focal Points. The deadline for applications was extended from 1 June 2018 to 15 June 2018.
