Historical Tsunami Database of the Novosibirsk Tsunami Laboratory

Since the 1990s with support from ITSU, the Novosibirsk Tsunami Laboratory, Russia (NTL) has provided the WinITDB as an offline, standalone tool working on Windows platform.  It includes a useful feature is a tsunami travel time calculator.  The last features update occurred in 2005.  Online versions are provided for the Pacific, Mediterranean, and Atlantic/Caribbean.

 

  • Atlantic - Tsunami events between 60 BC and the present day

  • Mediterranean - Tsunami events between 1628 BC and 1999

  • Pacific - Tsunami events between 47 BC and the present day

 

 

NOAA/WDS Historical Tsunami Database at NCEI

The Historical Tsunami Database consists of two related files containing information on tsunami events from 2000 B.C. to the present in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans; and the Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas.

Sea Level Networks

IOC GlossIOC Global Sea Level Station Monitoring Facility - The IOC Sea Level Monitoring Facility, developed originally under the IOC IODE Project for the ODINAFRICA sea level network in 2006, is a web-based real-time monitoring tool for sea level stations globally. The tool provides sea-level data, station status, station information, data plots, and other database services.  This tool should be used with caution for operational purposes since timely web access cannot be guaranteed all over the globe during emergencies.  Available since 2008.  Click here for more information.
