The ITIC organizes and conducts training on all aspects of tsunami warning and mitigation, with emphases in tsunami warning center and emergency response standard operating procedures, and the tsunami inundation mapping, evacuation mapping, response plans, and exercises for communities. Specialized training materials, templates, and best practice case studies have been developed to assist countries in developing their national and local capabilities against tsunamis.
